Lionel Messi finally reacts to missed penalty against Iceland

Lionel Messi was certainly a sad lonely figure after the final whistle of the Group D 2018 world cup opening match between Argentina and debutants Iceland . The four-time world best player of the year admitted that he still feels bad after  his missed penalty cost Argentina a World Cup win, but he is looking forward to making things right in coming matches . The match ended 1-1 much to the dismay of the 30 year old who failed to convert so many other chances during a frustrating afternoon .

Nigeria's performance yesterday against Croatia was short of the expectation millions of Nigerians had after they were beaten 2-0 in a bland and dull encounter in the 2018 Group D  world cup match . Croatia ensured that all 3 points were theirs after an own goal by Etebo in the first half  and a cooly taken penalty by Modric after an infringement in the penalty box in the second half of the game . Why Biafra Should Remain In Nigeria – Acting President Yemi Osinbajo

On Thursday  in Abuja  Acting President Osinbajo  called for a united nation at the colloquim on “Biafra: 50 years after’’ organized by the Yar’ Adua Foundation at the Shehu Musa Yar’ adua Centre. He made the call in his speech to a cross section of political leaders which include former President Olusegun Obasanjo, John Nwodo, leader of Ohaneze, the Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization and Ahmed Joda amongst other dignitaries that graced the occasion. He said : “No country is perfect; around the world we have seen and continue to see expressions of intra-national discontent,” the acting president said. “The truth is that many, if not most nations of the world are made up of different peoples and cultures and beliefs and religions, who find themselves thrown together by circumstance.”

Morata set to leave Real Madrid for £52m

Honestly , I didn't see this coming 😮😮. Who else did ? According to reports in Italy , Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has agreed terms with AC Milan ahead of a massive £52m deal despite strong links to Chelsea . The Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport Morata said that the secured deal is  worth £125,000 per week with the Serie A side. And a fee in the region of £52m (€60m) is being negotiated The Spanish striker has 20 goals  since he returned to the home of the 2017 La Liga champions but  has found himself being used from the bench, and it iss very likely that a departure from the club is imminent .
